Water, Water, Everywhere; But Not A Drop To Drink

It has been raining in Lahore since yesterday. And the weather has taken a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree turn; cold winds, sparkling showers and very little heat. We haven't even been turning the air conditioner on because of the sheer awesomeness of the weather.

But nothing in Pakistan comes free.

In return for being able to celebrate this break from the heat, Lahore's sewerages have been clogged (whether by nature or deliberately, it doesn't matter); a poor drainage system has left half the city under water.

I had the privilege of visiting around, today. I didn't get to take a lot of photos, but I did manage taking the following ones.

Yup, Venice gone seriously wrong.

And this gentleman, if you ask me, is better off swimming his way home.

Another poor bloke wades his way through the wet city, with electricity, phone and internet cables hanging above, all so precariously.

This can happen, only in Pakistan.
