Chaand Raat (Part I)

September 10, 2010: 11.59 pm

There's one lesson I learned, today; might have been fairly obvious for several, but I proved somewhat thick to allow it sinking into my mind comfortably (or naturally, even).

The only person whose destiny you can control, is yourself. Or at least you can plan to control it, while allowing fate to play its nasty tricks, bowling you over unarmed.

People are over-rated; everyone will hurt you, even those who promise not to.

You always knew that to err was human; but it only just settles when people make grave mistakes, and then you wonder how flawed a creation mankind actually is...

Or perhaps, I was expecting too much.

This blogpost was supposed to be written in different spirits. Alas. So that pretty much gives you a good overview of how tonight went.

The clock has struck twelve. It is officially tomorrow.

Eid Mubarak to all the avid readers of Skins & Flavours. I hope yours is better than mine.

  1. Hmm. Agree, more or less. Khair Mubarak. I don't mean to compete for a higher rank in misery, but no, my Eid was worse! :P
